Bulletin EVSU commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink Exhibit 2026 and Health Forum

EVSU recently launched its Pink Exhibit 2026 at the Main Campus in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

The opening of the exhibit was highlighted by an informative Breast Cancer Awareness Forum organized by the Gender and Development (GAD) Office in partnership with the EVSU Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC).

The forum featured a comprehensive discussion on Breast Cancer delivered by University Physician Dr. Loraine Bernadette D. Banario, emphasizing the critical importance of early detection, regular self-examinations, and accessible healthcare interventions. Ma’am Liza Basillo Calda also shared a survivor’s testimony, speaking on resilience, hope, and the vital role of community support during treatment.

This initiative promotes health literacy, proactive preventive care, and a supportive environment for women and families across the university community, reinforcing EVSU’s advocacy for holistic wellness and gender-responsive development.

This bulletin aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 03: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 05: Gender Equality
