Bulletin EVSU’s CARE Camp empowers new faculty for impactful extension service

EVSU, through the Office of Extension Services, conducted the CARE Camp for newly hired faculty members on October 29, 2026, at the ORIES Training Room to orient and empower its academic personnel for sustainable community outreach.

The intensive orientation program introduced the new faculty to the university’s institutional extension policies, operational processes, best practices, and core competencies required for impactful community engagement. Dr. Rustom Clemente, Director of Extension Services, spearheaded the orientation, guiding participants on effectively formulating, managing, and executing university outreach initiatives.

The training was further highlighted by discussions on extension foundations, program conceptualization, and project proposal development, alongside an in-depth lecture on the Theory of Change using the Results Chain Framework facilitated by Prof. Reshyl Del Pilar and Extension Office facilitators.

EVSU remains committed to bridging academia and grassroots development, ensuring that its expanding workforce is fully equipped to drive transformative, research-backed extension services across the region.
