I would like to extend my gratitude for the courtesy meeting I had with you on 23 September 2022. 

In the said courtesy call, we had the opportunity to discuss how we can strengthen the bilateral relations between India and the Philippines in the area of academic/educational field and people-to-people exchange. 

I’m glad to inform you that the ASEAN-India Research Training Fellowship (AIRTF) program under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India are now accepting applications. 

The objective of the AIRTF is to provide opportunity for ASEAN researchers to conduct research under the guidance of a host scientist in India in order to advance their own research capabilities while fostering scientific and technological cooperation between ASEAN and India. I have attached the fellowship program brochure for your reference. The Embassy is glad to invite interested individuals from the Philippines to apply for these fellowship program in areas such Agricultural Sciences; Biological and Medical Sciences; Chemical Sciences & Engineering; Computer Science & Engineering; Physical Sciences and Mathematics; Ocean, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences; and Engineering Sciences among others. 

In view of this, may we kindly request the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to publicized/advertised on its social media pages as well as on Foreign Scholarships and Training Programs page of CHED’s official website and share this to HEls in the Philippines as we believe that it would reach more potential and interested individuals. As the deadline of applications are about to end on 30 October 2022, we would highly appreciate if the request may be granted at the earliest.
