Leyte, Philippines – In a continued effort to promote health awareness and preventive care, the Monthly Fasting Blood Sugar Screening was successfully conducted on February 29, 2024, at Eastern Visayas State University – Carigara Campus (EVSU Carigara). The activity was led by the non-teaching personnel and actively participated in by both employees and students, reflecting a shared commitment to wellness across the campus community.
The screening aimed to encourage early detection of potential health risks related to blood sugar levels and to create a culture of proactive health management. By offering regular check-ups, the initiative empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their lifestyle, diet, and overall well-being.
This monthly health activity is part of EVSU Carigara’s broader advocacy for holistic development and community care. It serves as a reminder that health is not just a personal responsibility but a collective priority. As the saying goes, “Health is Wealth,” and through consistent efforts like these, the campus continues to build a healthier and more conscious environment.
