The Eastern Visayas State University got the Platinum Cluster Award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Clustering Scheme of the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) 2.0 program for EVSU-ITSO’s achievement in 2022 during the 2023 ITSO President’s Summit on March 28 in Sequioa Hotel, Paranaque City.
The said award is based on the performance of the number of IP Foundation courses conducted, the number of patent search, the number of inventions filed, and the number of commercialized IP-protected inventions or technology.
The platinum award is the highest cluster award given to an ITSO with the following accomplishments: the conduct of foundation courses; patent searching, draft and file at least seven invention patents and commercialize an IP.
The ITSO Head, Dr. Ma. Windie C. Velarde received the award on behalf of University President Dennis C. de Paz.
