Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) strengthens its Gender and Development (GAD) efforts through a series of capacity-building workshops for campus focal teams in preparation for the 2027 GAD Plan and Budget (GPB).

The EVSU GAD Office Technical Working Group kicked off the sessions at the Dulag, Tanauan, and Carigara campuses, equipping local focal teams with tools to develop and integrate gender-responsive Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) across university operations.

Led by GAD Director Dr. Glenda B. Tupaz and the GAD TWG, the initiative supports EVSU’s commitment to gender mainstreaming and compliance with the Magna Carta of Women and relevant CHED policies.

With the support of EVSU President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, the university continues to strengthen collaboration among campus units in embedding gender perspectives into its 2027 plans and programs.

The initiative advances SDG 5 – Gender Equality and SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, reinforcing EVSU’s commitment to building a more inclusive, equitable, and responsive university community.
