ICT Office conducts Workshop on Streamlining Enrollment Management Procedures

The Office of the Information and Communication Technology hosted the ICT Productivity Paradigm Workshop: Streamlining Enrollment Management Procedures, on December 6, 2023, from 9 am to 4 pm via Zoom, attended by key officials, selected administrative staff, and enrolling faculty members across the EVSU system.

This event aimed to reorient the participants with the various system management tools designed to simplify enrollment procedures in the university, faculty evaluation, and document registration among others, ensuring a more efficient and transparent system for all users.

Prof. Jude Allan U. Urmeneta kicked off the workshop with a demonstration of effective subject loading and class schedule management through the local school system management. Showcasing the intricacies of the system, Prof. Urmeneta provided hands-on guidance to the participants in navigating the eSMS application. He also emphasized the importance of utilizing the system to its full capacity, showcasing efficient ways to manage subject loading and class schedules.

Another focus of the workshop is the Faculty Evaluation Web Portal introduced by Prof. Raymond M. Daylo. This innovative web portal facilitates seamless student assessments of faculty members, eliminating the need for traditional paper-and-pen evaluation methods and generating more accurate, timely data for future utilization. Prof. Daylo presented the user-friendly interface of the portal that allows students to submit evaluations effortlessly. Moreover, the portal offers faculty members a transparent view of their evaluations, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

In the afternoon session, Prof. Vienmar S. Ogrimen provided updates on the enrollment management procedures including the introduction of Fast-Track Enrollment, the student pre-registration scheme, and some enhancements in the preparation of student’s transcript of records.

This workshop addressed key challenges faced during enrollment, emphasizing the need for a seamless and improved overall experience, both for students and faculty members. This further directs the transformation of enrollment management procedures, offering a glimpse into the future of educational administration. The move toward further digitization represents a significant step in the university’s commitment to leveraging technology for a more streamlined and sustainable academic environment.
