The Innovative Technology and Management Journal, a peer-reviewed journal of Eastern Visayas State University, bagged the bronze award in the Exemplary Journal Category, a competition among the 16 member HEIs of the Visayas-Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publication, Inc. (VMCJPI) during its “Year Opener Celebration”, March 30 at Cebu Normal University Tandang Sora Hall.
The said award is given to the journal published by the member institution of the consortium that has exemplified publication quality in terms of peer review policy, diversity in geographical distribution of editors and authors, journal citation, timeliness of publication, number of issues per year, journal availability, publication ethics and malpractice statement, and indexation.
The period covered for the said evaluation is from January-December 2022.
The consortium conferred the following awards with the corresponding points earned: Gold Award: 90 points and above; Silver Award: 80 – 89 points and Bronze Award: 70-79 points.
The competing journals came from the following universities: Bukidnon State University; Cebu Normal University; Eastern Visayas State University; Samar State University; Southern Leyte State University; University of Northern Philippines; and University of San Jose-Recoletos.
Dr. Dennis C. de Paz, the University President of Eastern Visayas State University, received the award together with the Vice-President of Research, Development, and Extension Services, Dr. Analyn C. Españo and the Managing Editor of the Innovative Technology and Management Journal, Dr. Thea Galos.
