Through a press release, CHEd Chairman J. Prospero E. de Vera III commended the university’s initiative in the production of locally made immune-booster carrot drink. Also, the ExCITE drink project has been featured in various local and national news media platforms like the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), ABS-CBN, GMA, and CNN Philippines.
This acknowledged innovation is the tangible fruit of the collaborative efforts of Eastern Visayas Food and Innovation Center (EVFIC), the Office of Planning, Research & Development, and Extension Services (OPRDExS), and COT nutritionists and dieticians from Main and Burauen Campus.
To date, there has been a total of 2,200 bottles produced and distributed to relocation sites, convent, government agencies, media, city and barangay frontliners.
