The Electronics Engineering Department together with the Rotary Club of Kankabato and the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Eastern Visayas Chapter went hand in hand to rehabilitate the solar-powered rainwater system of the Lucio Vivero Central School. This water and sanitation project aims to restore the old and non-functioning water system since the aforementioned water system was the primary source of water by the said learning community. This project began on January 25, 2021, with technical inspection and assessment, and as of March 4, 2021, the system has been 95% rehabilitated, the solar-powered pump is now functioning, the only thing that remains undone is the plumbing for the water distribution lines. Once this is done, the community can now have water coming out from their faucets without any additional expense for the electricity and the water itself.
