The editorial team of the Innovative Technology and Management Journal (ITMJ) conducted a webinar on “The Epistemological Non-sense of Disaster Studies” held on July 26, 2021 via Zoom. The resource person was Dr. JC Gaillard, one of the associate editors of ITMJ. He is a professor at the School of Environment of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. His research interests include disaster risk reduction (DRR); participatory tools for DRR; marginalization and DRR with focus on ethnicity, gender minorities, children, prisoners and homeless people; small and neglected disasters; livelihood assessment and strengthening in DRR; and post-disaster resettlement.
This activity is part of the webinar series organized by the editorial team of ITMJ which aims to capacitate teachers, especially early career researchers, on conducting research and journal publishing. Also, the webinar series is part of the university’s commitment to bring to the limelight the best researchers in the country and abroad to share their research findings and experiences in conducting research and publishing.
