Call for Nominations, Search for Private Sector Representative Extended until February 27, 2021

The Eastern Visayas State University is still accepting applications and nominations for two (2) Private Sector Representatives to the EVSU Board of Regents (EVSU-BOR) until February 27, 2021.1


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A natural born Filipino (as defined by law under the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines, Article IV, Sections 1-5)
  2. A resident of the province of Leyte for at least 6 months at the time of application/nomination.
  3. Must not be related by consanguinity or affinity up to the third civil degree to any incumbent member of the Board.
  4. Not in any way connected with EVSU, as faculty or nonteaching employee, regardless of status of employment, for at least two (2) years prior to his/her nomination for the PSR position.
  5. His/her immediate family (siblings, parents, children, and spouse) is not currently connected with EVSU at the time of application/nomination.
  6. Has not been employed in or appointed to any position in any government agency/entity, including government owned and controlled corporations, in any capacity – full time or part time – at the time of his or her nomination/application.
  7. Has distinguished himself/herself in his/her profession/field of specialization as evidenced by the awards/recognition/accomplishments he/she has received.
  8. Preferably from an industry, business or profession related to EVSU legal mandates (Engineering, Architecture, Information Technology, Education, Fisheries, Agriculture, Science, Forestry, Commerce and related programs).
  9. Has an extensive record of employment, business, expertise and connection with the private sector. If the PSR nominee previously worked in a government agency/entity or was a consultant in any government undertaking, the portion of time the nominee served in government should not exceed one fourth (1/4) of the entire time the nominee served in the private sector.
  10. Has not been convicted of any administrative and criminal offense involving moral turpitude.

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Formal application or nomination form by prominent citizen (s) or private organization(s)
  2. Duly accomplished and notarized nomination form (for nominees only)
  3. Duly notarized curriculum vitae/resume
  4. NBI Clearance obtained not more than 6 months from the date of application/nomination
  5. Medical certificate issued by a government Physician

Note: The Committee reserves the right to ask supporting documents from the applicants/nominees and prescribe form thereof for verification purposes, if so needed.
