Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) is participating in the nationwide roll-out training for the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence through Embedded Governance System (PRIME-ESG), spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), after being recommended as one of the pilot agencies for the initiative.
Representing EVSU in the training are Vice President for Administration, Finance and Auxiliary Services Dr. Danilo Pulma; Planning Officer Mr. Ken Badeo; and Human Resource Management Officer Ms. Honeylee F. Cadavis. The training is being conducted in two sessions scheduled on August 17–18 and August 25–26, 2026.
PRIME-ESG is an initiative under the Philippine Civil Service Modernization Project designed to strengthen public sector institutions by embedding meritocracy, organizational development, and good governance into agency systems and processes.
As one of the recommended pilot agencies, EVSU is being prepared to implement the PRIME-ESG framework and apply its principles to strengthen human resource management, improve organizational systems, and promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
The University’s participation underscores its commitment to continuously improving its systems and practices in support of responsive, efficient, and people-centered public service.
Through its engagement in PRIME-ESG, EVSU further advances its pursuit of a modern and responsive institution, fostering a culture of merit, excellence, good governance, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement across the University community.
