Marking a major milestone in its internationalization efforts, Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) has officially initiated steps to resume its overseas student training programs following a temporary hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In compliance with the Policies, Standards, and Guidelines set by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP), the university, through the Office of External Affairs, led by Ms. Mia Gretz A. Ramirez, Head of the Foreign Student Affairs Office and concurrent Head of Faculty and Student Mobility—conducted an initial site visitation and inspection of prospective partner foreign host establishments in Vietnam from September 3 to 5, 2026.
The three-day inspection evaluated facilities, working conditions, and student safety standards in full accordance with CHED quality and accreditation mandates. The initial assessment paves the way for a pioneer batch of five (5) Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) student interns, who are scheduled for overseas deployment in October or November 2026.
