Eastern Visayas State University was officially recognized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for its invaluable partnership in advancing accessible, responsive, and quality higher education through the effective and responsible management of public resources.
University President Dr. Dennis C. De Paz, alongside Vice President for Students, Internationalization & External Affairs Dr. Benedicto T. Militante, Jr., personally received the Higher Education Resource Partnership Award on September 17, 2026, during Project BISIG (Bridging Institutions and Stakeholders for Inclusive Governance) in Palo, Leyte.
Carrying the theme, “Building Stronger Partnerships and Strengthening Citizen Participation for Inclusive Co-Creation and Sustained Collaboration on Public Financial Management,” the event highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and meaningful collaboration across government institutions.
This recognition reflects EVSU’s steadfast commitment to sound public stewardship and its shared vision with DBM to deliver better public service and build a more inclusive, sustainable public sector.
