Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU), through its Negosyo Center headed by Prof. Salvador Bonifacio, supports the MSME Financial Literacy Seminar organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Leyte.
Representing EVSU, Director for External Affairs Dr. Pearl Aphrodite Carnice welcomed the participants and conveyed the university’s support for initiatives that strengthen MSME financial knowledge and business growth.
The seminar featured discussions on financial literacy by Ginel Francis C. Taboada, Head of the Financial Services Division of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), followed by a loan orientation with Kristel Mae M. Udtohan, P3 Provincial Coordinator of Small Business Corporation; Krystel I. Lajarca, Branch Head of BDO Network Bank Inc. – Leyte Tacloban Branch; and Elizabeth L. Pretencio, General Manager of PHCCI-MPC Tacloban.
DTI Leyte Provincial Director Faustino V. Gayas, HR, also welcomed the participants as the seminar highlighted accessible financial guidance and loan opportunities to help MSMEs sustain and grow their enterprises.
This initiative addresses specific Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specially SDG 08: Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 01: No Poverty; SDG 10: Reduce Inequality; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
