Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) will strengthen internationalization efforts across its colleges and campuses through the “From Designation to Implementation: Activation of the EVSU Internationalization Coordinators Network” on September 3, 2026, at the ORDeX Training Room.

Anchored on the theme “Connecting Colleges, Creating Global Opportunities, Advancing Internationalization,” the activity will orient designated internationalization coordinators on EVSU’s internationalization vision, ecosystem, and their roles in advancing global engagement at the college level.

The program, led by the office of the International Affairs through its Director, Dr. Faustito A. Aure features session on internationalization, the university’s internationalization ecosystem, and college-level strategies, culminating in a workshop where coordinators will develop initial college or campus internationalization action plans.

In his opening message, Dr. Benedicto T. Militante Jr., Vice President for Students, Internationalization and External Affairs, emphasized that internationalization is a shared responsibility across the university. “Internationalization does not happen in one office alone; it happens in our classrooms, research projects, extension programs, student activities, faculty engagements, and partnerships.”

The initiative aims to create a stronger network of internationalization coordinators who can help integrate global perspectives into academic, research, extension, student, and partnership activities across EVSU, advancing the university’s goal of creating more global opportunities for its community.

The workshop supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 04: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals.
