EVSU joins the  3rd Virtual Nationwide Simultaneous EQ Drill

A little earlier at 9am, EVSU President Dennis C. de Paz together with the employees of the different constituent units of the University prepared for and participated in the 3rd Quarter Online National Earthquake Drill.

Staff and officials siutated in different posts secured themselves as they performed the duck,cover and hold as an initial reaction when the earthquake alarm went off.

The ceremonial pressing of the button for the drill as a national activity was set and spearheded by the NDRRMC.

NDRRMC deputy spokesperson Mark Cashean Timbal said, “We continue to hold (our) NSED online, complemented by webinars on disaster preparedness so that our people can continue getting prepared and stay safe despite this (coronavirus disease 2019 – Covid-19) pandemic.”

This activity is a preparenedness measure for the purpose of helping anybody react quickly and appropriately during an earthquake.
