Different satellite campuses of the university, through the continued effort of the faculty, admin staff, volunteers and partner communities under EVSU-ACAP, sewed a total number of 1,405 of washable face masks in addition to the initial 2,850 masks initially produced.
Specifically, EVSU Tacloban with the San Agustin United Sewers’ Association (SAUSA) mass-produced 2500 pieces; Carigara Campus with 1000 pieces; Tanauan and Ormoc Campus with 530 and 225 pieces, respectively.
These hand-sewn face masks were distributed to the medical and non-medical frontliners in the different parts of Leyte and Tacloban.
