Flexible Learning Modalities: EVSU’s way of caring for its educational community

The Eastern Visayas State University strongly supports the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in its affirmative actions for quality education amidst the pandemic. Through the able leadership of Chairman J. Prospero E. de Vera III, the SUCs, LUCs and other HEIs in the country never lost hope in devising solutions to pressing issues and instead make opportunities out of the present difficulties. Hence, the University has conducted retooling activities to better equip its platform for Online and Offline Learning Management System.

Indeed, the pandemic has immensely changed our educational systems – redirecting all our plans and priorities but we cannot give up on the education of our future change agents. With the advent of digital and non-digital technology, we completely allow our students to be fully functional through flexible learning – a blended approach where students process learning in their own pace and style of knowledge acquisition and lifelong skills development.

With all the disruptions we face today, we cannot risk the lives of our educational community. We believe that as an academic institution, it is our moral obligation to show compassion and care for our people and to ignite inspiration in these trying times. Therefore, the entire EVSU community is one with CHED and its continued desire to making quality education sustainable and flexibly accessible even in the face of the most unprecedented global crisis.

Now, more than ever, we are called to stand together in order to win together and always make a difference in the lives of our dearest students.
